http://ping.fm/rV9BO A funny story if you really think about, I was in my third year at Davis and heard that the Rolling Stones were coming to the bay area and tickets would be on sale over the weekend. Way back then it was first in line got the first and usually the best tickets. So our nearest Bass ticket store was only 5 blocks away from my apartment on A Street so I went down to see if there was a line at the store. As I came down the street I noticed there was one guy sitting outside the door and I asked him what he was doing. I was quite obvious he was the first guy in line but I still had to ask. So I became number two in line with over three day until the tickets went on sale. A couple of things dawned on me about 5 minutes sitting there and they were that it was mid day Wednesday and I had class in two hours, I was going to have to camp out and literally sleep on the sidewalk for three nights and I didn’t have any food. What do you think a college guy would do in that instant? Call friends to get in line behind me so they could save my spot and with in 30 minutes I had four lined up. I had someone grab my sleeping bag and someone brought food and our favorite watering hole was across the street. What more could you want but to hang out with four buddies for three days having a great time and basically having a party in the streets of Davis.
I never made it to the concert myself, but I made a boatload of money on those 10, 11th row, center stage tix! Thank, Mic!
It really seems like yesterday I was dautghers age, how time flys by so fast. I look at our documentary film and she looks so young but the climb was only 18 months ago!
We have a teenager today! Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would get the chance to get married and have kids. I remember asking my friend at camp at the age of 17 if she thought I would ever get married and she didn’t really have an answer. Now I’m a father of an 13 year old girl and a 11 year old boy and it means I’m getting older. LOL
